Send me an Angel

I know your up there looking down on me,

Send me an angel or some kind of sign,

something to help or to guide me,

Through this difficult time.

If you were still here today,

you would know the right things to say.

You would tell me you love me and that you believe,

Instead I’m lost without you struggling to grief.

Knowing to you I could turn,

lessons you helped me learn,

You helped me from doing wrong,

Because your faith in me was strong.

Please send me an angel,

To watch over and guide.

Give me back that warm sensation

Of feeling your pride.

Just a flicker of the lights,

or some tapping on the wall.

Anything to let me know

your still here after all.

Send this angel today

in the form of motivation,

remind me what I’m good at

give me some inspiration

Makes me creative again

put the words in my heart

if im touched by an angel

i can make a fresh start!

  1. Blimey, what the hell are you talkin about Moosey? It’s brilliant!

Depression fills our heads with all kinds of bullshit. Like thinking great poems are awful.

We are sorry you are feeling so poorly inside(in more ways than one.)

Here’s something amusing to think about: hearing me say things like “blimey” and “bloody hell” and “bollocks” and “wanker” with my natural accent. (I’m American so I’d sound like a bloody fool LOL)

We have been to England before so we know what those words mean.

    Cheers
    Ivan

  2. Oh, one more thing: if you want, I’ll make a video of myself using such expressions in my natural accent if you want a good laugh and think it would cheer you up. I don’t mind making myself look a fool if it will make someone else feel a bit better.

  3. Wonderful piece Garry – you truly are extremely talented and I do know she and I are both very proud ofyou.

  4. This is beautiful! I’m sorry I haven’t sent much comment love lately, but am constantly thinking of you through your struggles. You are a very brave & courageous man for reaching out for help & support. Xo
